TEDxGosport has officially revealed its highly anticipated speaker line-up for 2026, bringing together an inspiring group of local voices, experts and changemakers who will take to the stage to explore this year’s theme: Connection.
Taking place on 5 September 2026, the volunteer-led event will showcase a series of powerful TEDx talks examining the many ways connection shapes our lives, communities and futures.
From personal journeys to thought-provoking ideas, this year’s speakers will challenge audiences to think differently about the relationships that define us. Together, this year’s talks will explore the many ways connection shapes our lives, from our relationships with success, health and nature to the influence of our past, our values and our communities. Audiences will also discover powerful perspectives on navigating conflict, finding calm in chaos, embracing authenticity, challenging perception, honouring legacy and recognising that every journey is strengthened by the connections we make along the way.
Together, the talks will reflect the many different ways connection influences how we live, lead, grow and support one another, staying true to TED’s mission of sharing ideas worth spreading.
Behind the scenes, preparations are already well underway. The speakers recently came together for their first full rehearsal, which organisers described as a huge success.
Annelies James, TEDxGosport Licence Holder and Curator, said: “Our first rehearsal exceeded all expectations. The energy in the room was incredible and seeing our speakers begin to bring their ideas to life was genuinely inspiring. Every talk offers a unique perspective on connection, and we can’t wait to share them with our audience in September.”
With speaker coaching continuing over the coming weeks, the team is looking forward to delivering another unforgettable TEDxGosport experience that sparks conversation long after the event has finished.
Following the success of the inaugural event in 2025, demand for tickets has been exceptionally strong, with places already selling quickly. Organisers are encouraging anyone hoping to attend to book soon to avoid disappointment.
