Andy Moss

Andy Moss

Veteran

Learn more

Andy Moss spent 24 years learning that the hard way, finishing his Army career as a Regimental Sergeant Major, the senior soldier responsible for discipline and for upholding values and standards. Andy has spent his life doing the hard things. He ran the Comrades Marathon, 56 miles uphill, and, being afraid only of heights and falling, jumped out of a plane and abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower. He has swum with great white sharks, burpee’d for a mile, and raised thousands for good causes along the way. His knees are now made of biscuits, which is proof that none of it was big nor clever, but he would probably do it again. Andy supports leaders from across business and the public sector. He is the author of the forthcoming book The Standard You Walk Past. At TEDxGosport he asks what it costs us every day, to look the other way. What are you walking past that you have told yourself isn’t your problem? You are only as good as the standard you walk past.

Anna Lundberg

Anna Lundberg

Author and Podcast Host

Learn more

Anna Lundberg works with founders and leaders at the point where the very things that made them successful start holding them back. The drive, the habits, the definition of success they built a career on – the ones that worked, until they didn’t. She helps them see the scripts running underneath it all: the beliefs about success we pick up so early we forget we ever absorbed them, and rarely stop to question. She spent a decade chasing the conventional version of success – an Oxford degree, a marketing career, ticking every box – then a decade redefining it. She’s written two books, with a third on the way, and hosts the Reimagining Success podcast. Anna lives in Poole with her partner and two young children, and builds her work around school hours and real life.

Beth Hunt

Beth Hunt

Educator

Learn more

Beth Hunt is an educator based in Hampshire, originally from the hills of North Wales. Growing up living on a bus and in a home without running water, bathing in a tin bath in front of the fire, she learned early on the importance of resilience, community and making the most of every opportunity. After many years as a successful Drama and SEN teacher, Beth now works with young people in entrepreneurship, careers and employability, helping them build confidence, skills and meaningful connections. Alongside this, she has developed a passion for photography, capturing people, brands and landscapes through storytelling. In her TEDx talk, Beth shares how the people we meet, the conversations we have and the courage to reach out can change the course of our lives. Through personal stories and practical insights, she explores why connection is one of the most powerful forces for growth, opportunity and belonging.

Dr. Aditi Bhalla

Dr. Aditi Bhalla

Psychotherapist

Learn more

Dr. Aditi Bhalla is a Specialist Dentist, Integrative Psychotherapist, and mother – she had the credentials, the career, and was quietly falling apart anyway. She lived through burnout, postnatal depression, anxiety, and a painful wrist condition that forced everything – her work, her identity, her carefully constructed life – to stop. What emerged on the other side was a new focus: helping high-achieving professionals build the kind of life that prevents the fall rather than waiting for it. In her TEDx talk: What Kind of Villager Am I?, she shares what she found in her time of stillness- not a wellness plan, but a question that changed how she shows up for her own life and work. Honest, warm, and carrying the clarity that only comes from hitting the floor, she’ll leave you thinking differently about connection, community, care, and the village you have the power to create.

Jimmy Young

Jimmy Young

Outdoor Aerial Adventure Instructor

Learn more

What if the thing that made you happiest as a child is exactly what your adult brain is missing? Jimmy has spent a lifetime climbing trees, from the New Forest as a four year old to founding a recreational tree climbing business in Stanley Park, Gosport. In his TEDx talk, Jimmy explores the surprising neuroscience of what happens when adults reconnect with nature through challenge, and why climbing a tree might be one of the simplest resets available to a busy, overstimulated mind. What started as a childhood passion has since grown into a family-run business, taking children and adults up into the canopies of trees across the UK, connecting people of all ages with the unique perspective only found at height – pausing, looking up, and rediscovering the playfulness many of us leave behind as we grow up.

Jodie Goodchild

Jodie Goodchild

Entrepreneur

Learn more
Jodie Goodchild is an entrepreneur and personal business branding expert with 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing and communication. Her work helps people build visibility, trust and opportunity by being more of themselves, not less. As an openly queer woman, Jodie knows what it means to spend a lifetime trying to fit in, and what it takes to begin choosing truth over performance. Her talk explores the quiet ways we edit ourselves to be accepted, the cost of shrinking to keep other people comfortable, and the question so many of us need to ask: where am I still performing? Jodie believes that connection begins when performance ends, and that the life we are trying to belong to may be waiting on the other side of being seen.
Julian Elphick-Smith

Julian Elphick-Smith

Teacher and Mediaevalist

Learn more
Born in Brighton, Julian feels most naturally at home by the sea. He has taught English in the Portsmouth and Gosport area for the greater part of four decades and now resides very happily in Gosport beside Portsmouth Harbour. His family has largely joined him, sharing a passion for the history, setting and sense of community that characterises our home town. Julian is a mediaevalist by specialisation and will speak on the importance of our connection with the past. His life journey, however, has been a little more diverse and taken him from the late night studios of university radio, through the world of ‘big firm’ accountancy in the booming 1980s, to achingly active grandparenthood today. In spite of his enthusiasm for Old English, Latin, church architecture and croquet, children at home and at school ensure that he remains young at heart – at least!
Laura Gowers

Laura Gowers

Graphic Designer

Learn more
Laura Gowers is a graphic designer, illustrator, musician, and science communicator with a passion for making the invisible visible. Through her creative work, she explores the fascinating world of the microbiome, transforming complex scientific concepts into engaging visual stories that inspire curiosity, connection, and wonder. Following a period of profound personal change, Laura found renewed purpose through creativity, nature, and a deeper understanding of the microbial world that surrounds us. Her work bridges art and science, helping people discover how our health is intimately connected to the environments we live in and the communities – both visible and invisible – that we are part of. In her TEDx talk, Laura shares how a journey of rediscovery led her to an unexpected insight: that small, accessible changes in our daily lives and greater connection with the natural world can help support a thriving microbiome and better health.
Pete Barty

Pete Barty

Adventurer and Counsellor

Learn more
Pete Barty. Adventurer on Hold, Counsellor Let Loose. Midway through a near thirty-year career as a Chartered Civil Engineer, a cancer diagnosis led Pete Barty to retrain as a counsellor. What that news didn’t do was slow him down. He did what felt natural, he pushed harder. Over the following decade and a half he took on mountains, ultramarathons, and adventures across four continents, chasing the next challenge before the last one had settled. Eventually, life insisted he stop. In the quiet that followed, he began to understand that real connection only becomes possible when we stop running. Honoured by the Queen for services to charity and the community, Pete comes to TEDx Gosport to explore the summit that matters most, the one within.
Vikki Feltham

Vikki Feltham

Visible Difference Advocate

Learn more
Vikki Feltham is a health advocate whose work explores identity, resilience and the way our assumptions shape other people’s lives. After cancer changed her face, body and relationship with the world around her, Vikki found herself confronting a question many of us quietly carry: who are we when the version of us other people expect no longer exists? Through lived experience, storytelling and advocacy, Vikki challenges the instinct to reduce people to what we first notice about them. Her TEDx talk explores how identity is not formed alone, but co-authored through the stories, labels and assumptions we place on one another. Born and raised in Gosport, Vikki now uses her voice to encourage deeper connection, greater curiosity and a more generous way of seeing people; not as fixed versions of who we think they are, but as whole, evolving human beings.
