Applications to become a TEDx speaker are now open on the TEDxGosport website.
Following a hugely successful debut, TEDxGosport is back by popular demand, offering local voices the chance to step onto the red circle and share their “ideas worth spreading” with both a live audience and viewers around the world.
To launch this year’s search for speakers, the TEDxGosport team hosted an inspirational evening at one of Gosport’s most beautiful venues, the Alverbank Hotel, overlooking Stokes Bay and one of the event’s fantastic sponsors. The evening brought together last year’s speakers and those interested in applying for 2026, creating a space to exchange ideas and stories, share experiences and wisdom, and connect with like-minded individuals from across Gosport. It also offered attendees the chance to meet the team, who will support speakers every step of the way — from calming nerves at auditions to providing professional public speaking coaching in the lead-up to the big day.
Applications are now officially open on the TEDxGosport website and will close on 18 May.
This year’s theme, “Connection,” invites a wide range of interpretations. Applicants are encouraged to explore what connection means to them — whether that’s connection to people, community, family, dreams, health, success, history, or Gosport itself. TEDxGosport is seeking powerful, original ideas that have the potential to inspire and create change.
This year’s event will take place on 5 September 2026 at the Gosport Activity Centre, located by Alverstoke Creek and proudly supporting TEDxGosport as one of its valued sponsors.
